The Annual Purchasing Plan main goal is to allow the State Entity likely to increase the conditions of competition through the participation of a greater number of traders involved in the selection processes occurring during the fiscal year, also allowing the State to count with enough information to perform its coordinated purchase.

MISIÓN: Gestión, desarrollo, explotación, operación y planeación del Sistema Integrado de Transporte Regional en el Departamento de Cundinamarca, bajo la modalidad de transporte terrestre ferroviario, incluyendo sus respectivas infraestructuras, y la integración con otros sistemas de trasporte. VISIÓN: Ser la empresa de mayor reconocimiento del Transporte Ferroviario Nacional, de carga y pasajeros, en cuanto a la gestión y operación, generando valor para los usuarios y los accionistas, entregando soluciones y servicios logísticos competitivos, oportunos y de calidad. 

La EFR para la vigencia 2021 tiene a cargo el desarrollo de los contratos de obra pública para el proyecto Extensión de la Troncal NQS del Sistema Transmilenio a Soacha fases II y III y el contrato de concesión integral del proyecto Regiotram de Occidente, en sus fases de pre construcción y gestión socio - predial; además, la EFR se encuentra en un proceso de fortalecimiento de su estructura organizacional interna.
