Misión: Administrar y anejar las áreas a cargo de Parques Nacionales Naturales y coordinar el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas (SINAP) de Colombia. promoviendo la participación de diversos actores con el propósito de conservar la diversidad biológica y cultural del país, contribuyendo al desarrollo sostenible y a un medio ambiente sano. Visión: Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia será reconocido por la conservación de los beneficios naturales, culturales, sociales y económicos que generan sus áreas protegidas para la Nación Colombiana y el mundo.
Strategic perspective:
El Nuevo Modelo Integrado de Planeación y Gestión MIPG se define como el marco de referencia para dirigir, planear, ejecutar, controlar, hacer seguimiento y evaluar la gestión institucional de Parques Nacionales Naturales, con el fin de generar resultados que atiendan los planes de desarrollo y resuelvan las necesidades y problemas de los ciudadanos, con integridad y calidad en el servicio, para generar valor público.
