Misión: Brindarle a la comunidad del Departamento Norte de Santander el marco legal y adminsitrativo que propicie el correcto ejercio del control político en procura del desarrollo sostenible del Departamento con los mas elevados intereses de proteger y salvaguardar los recursos económicos, sociales, ecológicos y tecnológicos bajo los principios de eficacia, eficiencia y honestidad. Visión: En el futuro, ser valorado como una corporación líder en procesos de participación y gestión, que le permitan al Departamento Norte de Santander consolidarse como una potencia modelo en el desarrollo social, económico y político, comprometida con sus ciudadanos, acorde a los avances técnicos y tecnológicos
Strategic perspective:
La Asamblea Departamental de Norte de Santander es una corporación de carácter administrativo y de elección popular, encargada de realizar, en su ámbito territorial, las funciones administrativas, reglamentarias, electorales y de vigilancia y control establecidos en la Constitución Política y en las leyes de la Republica de Colombia. la Corporacion cuenta con una planta de personal de 3 funcionarios, 13 Diputados y un presupuesto anual de $5.636.821.542
