MISION : El municipio de La Virginia tiene como misión administrar eficientemente los asuntos y recursos a su cargo, prestando adecuadamente los servicios públicos que les corresponde, promoviendo y propiciando la participación democrática de la comunidad, y ejerciendo una adecuada planificación del desarrollo económico, social y ambiental del territorio.
