The Annual Purchasing Plan main goal is to allow the State Entity likely to increase the conditions of competition through the participation of a greater number of traders involved in the selection processes occurring during the fiscal year, also allowing the State to count with enough information to perform its coordinated purchase.

"Misión Ejercer como máxima autoridad ambiental en su jurisdicción, ejecutando políticas, planes, programas y proyectos ambientales, a través de la construcción de tejido social, para contribuir al desarrollo sostenible y armónico de la región. Visión La Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca –CAR- en el 2023 habrá incidido en la consolidación de un modelo regional viable, prospero, incluyente, equitativo y sostenible a través de una cultura ambiental responsable."
Strategic perspective:
La Corporación para el cumplimiento de su labor elabora el Plan de Acción para el periodo del Director y el Plan de Acción Ambiental Regional por un periodo de 10 años, encaminados a fortalecer la flora, fauna, Recurso Hídrico y cultura ambiental entre otros aspectos relacionados con el Medio Ambiente, dentro de su jurisdicción, en su estructura organizativa cuenta con 14 Oficinas Provinciales, El Laboratorio Ambiental, 537 empleados de planta, los procesos contractuales se encuentra centralizados en la Sede principal - Bogotá.
